I found two cool new web sites today -- well, new to me, at least. 

(1) www.appscout.com -- is PC Magazine's review/news site for cool web applications.  It's a treasure trove of fun, cool, helpful and absurd stuff.  And it led me to my second site:

(2) www.weeworld.com -- which I am sure is for kids to play and network, but I had a ton of fun making three new avatars for here: one that's me, one for Harry and one for Draco.  I'm using the me one for this post.  Wee!

3G Ron-A-Thon

3G Ron-A-Thon.

IMHO, cannon Ron is a natural foodie who draws extravagant enjoyment from eating lots of really good food. As a growing adolescent, he is a bottomless pit whose indiscriminate eating can hardly keep up with his metabolism. How does Hermione really feel about this?  What about when he is fully grown? What will happen after his metabolism drops down?  What form will his foodism take? Will his tastes mature into the refined sensibilities of a gourmet with discriminating taste in food and wine? Will he be more of a gourmand, devoted to the sensuous delights of fine food and drink? Or will he become a glutton, whose devotion to food and drink is indiscriminate and excessive?

So here's the challenge...

Once you have decided the big G/G/G question, use Ron (abuse him, even) for the perfect opportunity for porkish pleasure. Whether slash, het or gen, here is fodder for some hot food smut, gluttonous feeder/feedee smut or even a yummy little wubbly belly romance. The possibilities are endless.

Just to give you a target -- 'cause who gets things done without a due date? -- try to get your submissions in by February 15, 2009??

so that's the story, well story challenge, to be exact.  I hope you agree with me that there is AMPLE ROOM to work a BIG FAT WEIGHT GAIN STORY into these parameters.

Ack. The pressure of starting a journal. What to say... Not much really. I'm just setting up this journal so that I can have an IJ identity as I cruise through the HP fandom I so love. I've been a confirmed lurker for about two years now and am slowly dipping my very wimpy toes into actual participation. The more I read, the more I am amazed by the incredible dedication, talent and creativity that fanfic writers put into their work. I've come to the point where I want to leave praise and feedback.
And while it is true that if "I think, therefore I am", that doesn't really mean a hill of beans in terms of sharing my thoughts online. Ergo, I must exist here on IJ to "be".
